Wheelset White
What is the best downhill mountian bike wheelset?
I heard great things a deemax..but also very bad things. I might upgrade the wheels on my bighit and was wondering what the best wheelset is out there. I would also like a white rim..but if there's not one out there for the set, it's ok.
Deemax are as good as it gets... anyone who had anything bad to say about them was lying. I could never get down with the bright yellow look myself though.Up until the 2010 edition, the rims on the Deemax's were just Mavic's ex823 rims laced to Mavic hubs so.. I just had a set of wheels built with Industry Nine hubs laved to 823's and got 'em in black instead of yellow. This year though, they custom milled the rims for the Deemax's making them super lightweight for such a beefy wheel. Still fully UST and still bombproof.
Aside from Deemax's, the DT Swiss FR-2350's are also awesome... but not UST so if you run tubeless you'd need to get a conversion kit or go the ghetto route with a 20" tube, lol.
