Tires Tubes
is it okay to ride with tires with tubes in the dessert?
I plan on renting this bike in arizona but it doesnt have tubeless tires. Is this okay? The thing is, this bike has tubeless tires b/c i have one but why would the rental shop put on non tubeless when the bike came originally with tubeless?
Tube type tires are less expensive, and easier to repair on the road or trail. I know tubeless are more flat resistant. The rental shop may be renting the bikes with different wheels than your bike, if they have a large rental fleet they may have equipped all their bikes with a different wheel than stock. It is possible they could have specified non tubeless when they ordered the rental bikes from their distributer.
