Sensor light flashing on dash. Where do I find best info on how to determine what it means?
1985 chev sprint. Carburated engine. Wanting references that will tell me how to determine what the sensor light is flashing for. And the codes list that will go with it. Car is running fine during warmer summer days. During cooler days it did act like it was running on 2 cylinders and when giving it gas pedal it puked out. I'm thinking vacumn valve or sensor. Need input desperately. Shop prices are more than I can afford at this time. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, places like Auto Zone, Pep Boys, Advance auto Parts, will check the codes for free. On a car this old though, I would call first. More than likely, your on board computer is detecting a misfire which can cause the power loss you described. Check the plug wires and the spark plugs too.
