Rear Deraileur
Removal of Front Derailleur causes the chain to fall?
I removed the front derailleur on my 27 spd, while simply because I do not need so many gears. Now my chain doesn't want to stay. if I do not work stop pedaling the rear cassette rotate freely and game increases on the underside of the chain causing it to fall. suggestions?
I agree that sounds like a problem of tape or a problem with the Rear Derailleur. Probably the front derailleur has been helping to keep the chain when it skipped due to the fact that the tape does not rotate freely. Now he is gone from the chain comes off, but not the front derailleur as causing the problem.
