I want a new fork for my bike?

I bought a new bike in the spring and i love everything about it but the fork. So i want a good fork. before i start looking around I want to know what to look for. I know my bike is a 1 1/8 inch headtube with disk brakes and Kenda Kinetics front tire. Now i donpt want to spend any more than 250 canadian dollars so i will definately buy used! I am wide open to suggestions and any other info i need to know and what to look for!

Canada? You may find in 'bikes' section via craigslist.org some bargained Rock Shox ( Revelation,Pike or Totem), Manitou, SR SunTour or RST as good front suspension ( also check out ebay.ca if someone is selling a cheap fork too! ).
