Why does my alpine CD Changer read EEEEE?
I just bough a 96 Chevy G1500 with a Mark 3 conversion It has a Alpine 6 disc CD Changer installed in the wall behind the drivers seat. It has a factory Gm stereo Am/fm cassette player. The CD changer control is velcro'd on the dash just under the radio. When I first got the Van the Cd Changer didn't work. the cartridge would go in and out but the controller wouldn't power up. After doing some checking I found a fuse blown so Now I got the contoller to power on But on the screen it says EEEEE Ands thats it. when I open the cartridge it says T------- but when I push the cartridge fully loaded with discs it says EEEEE on the screen. What's wrong ???? I've never had a Cd Changer in a vehicle before.
unplug your power for about 15 minutes and try again
remove the battery
