Clincher Wheel
Can i use regular brake pads on my clincher Zipp 404's?
Will the brake pads I have been using on my old clinchers be ok for these wheels?
Yes. The clincher 404s have an aluminum braking surface the same as most clinchers so you don't need special pads. I have a pair if clincher 404s and swap them out with no braking problems at all.
The only time you need to worry about changing brake pads is if the actual braking surface (where the pad grips the wheel) is carbon.
