What is the difference between the hoses and tires?
I'm looking for some wheels Aero. I have a Cannondale CAAD 10 and im extremely confused. What is the difference between clinchers and tubular wheels? From my understanding tube are glued to the rim? I'm not even sure what Im indicating that someone can help me please! I will award best answer.
Tubular tires, or "sewing up" are tires that have a tube sewn inside the tire casing. They need special rims which have a semicircular canal around the circumference of the rim where the glue is applied to hold the tire in place. Tubular rims can be a bit lighter than the tire rims. TIRE tires are standard bicycle with a separate tube. The tire bead rests inside the lip of the rim on each side holding the tube in place. The tire rim must be strong enough to withstand the high pressure used for road tires, making it heavier than a tubular rim. Benefits are best held hoses Road, smoother ride, almost no pinch flats, lighter weight overall, and better control if you have an apartment. However, this may be offset by the disadvantage of gluing the tires to the wheels. Many pilots will train on race and crimp the hose. A third type of road tire is tubeless road tires. These tires are special tires that use a slightly different shape so they seal beads on their rims tire and no need special tubes. These were some of the advantages of both hoses and tires. They have only been around for 3 or 4 years and do just beginning to make inroads into road cycling. For deep aero wheels, tubulars are the best choice
