Aero Bars
What style of Aero Bars should i buy?
I went to the store the other day and I noticed that there where two different styles, one with straight bars where I can put my gears in front of the aero bars and the hoop aero bars. I have been wanting to buy aero bars for my road bike but not sure what style I want. If any one can help me with personal experiences with the these styles, that would be great and any other advice would be helpful to. Thanks
I'd say it's really down to the cost. If you want to move your gears, this will add to the cost, since you'll need new levers and possibly cables.
I bought some of the hooped variety, just to try them, and although I find them to be good, I can't justify the extra cost of moving the gear levers, so I'm sticking with what I've got.
You could, of course, just fit the straight ones and leave your gears where they are.
If you can, try the two types for fit, and pick the ones you're most comfortable with.
